Satellite Surveillance Europe
Rome, Italy

23-24 April 2024

Satellite Surveillance Europe will discuss the latest satellite operations being conducted by the different civil agencies and Armed Forces. The use of satellites is constantly on the rise with satellites being used to assist with natural disasters and rescue missions.

Earth observation is becoming more important than ever before to assist governments and humanitarian agencies in responding to natural disasters and detecting threats before they arrive. We have also seen how earth observations played a key part in the search for the missing MH370 which helped search and rescue teams in the Indian Ocean.

Other topics the event will address is seeing how satellite surveillance is helping rescue struggling migrants who are risking their lives to cross dangerous seas. As well as assisting intelligence agencies and the Armed Forces with critical real-time images and footage from warzones.
